Announcing a juried photographic exhibition for FotoFocus 2012, titled INERTIA.
FOTOFOCUS recaptures the spirit of Cincinnati’s legacy as an epicenter of art production and creative exchange, and seeks to revitalize that spirit for the 21st century. Acting as a catalyst for collaboration and community engagement, FOTOFOCUS organizes a month-long celebration of historical and contemporary photography and lens-based art! INERTIA is open to grades 9-11 (as seniors will be graduated before October 2012).
INERTIA was designed by Peiter Griga & David Rosenthal to bring awareness about the phenomenon of slow progress/slow change regarding the geographical area of Cincinnati. They are asking students to photograph on this theme and all subject matter is welcomed. Please see the PDF attachments for further details, curatorial statement and for entry forms. We are very excited to extend this opportunity to High School Photographers!
FOTOFOCUS is going to be an amazing event and it’s going to be enhanced because INERTIA is going to have the voices of young artists represented.
The INERTIA exhibit will be at the CANCO Lofts in Northside during the month of October 2012.
