Courtyard Benches and Picnic Tables: Public Artwork @ OHHS

2013 COURTYARD PICNIC TABLES
Visuals Art Educator:  Jamie Schorsch

The students were given the directive to research, and chose, an image or artist from Art History to reference and adapt for their original picnic table design.  Stylistic and technical inspirations represent a range from Art Beyond the European Tradition- the classes studied the works of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and Islamic artworks for inspiration.  Styles of representation provided inspiration for the rendering of images that were intended to reflect students’ interpretations of both the Oak Hills and Greater Cincinnati community they belong to, symbolically.
