2011 COURTYARD BENCHES
Visual Art Educator:  Jamie Schorsch

The students were given the directive to research, and chose, an image or artist from Art History to reference and adapt for their original bench design.  For stylistic and technical inspirations represent a range from Renaissance to 21st Century Art- the classes studied the works of Shephard Fairey, Francisco Goya, Leonardo DaVinci, Monet, Salvador Dali, and Jackson Pollack.  Styles of representation provided inspiration for the rendering of images that were intended to reflect student’s interpretations of both the Oak Hills and Greater Cincinnati community they belong too, symbolically.
