Funke Fired Arts High School Student Competition

Call to Student Artists

Funke Fired Arts would like to give one special student and his/her teacher from our region a summer scholarship to work in and learn from our studio!

The scholarship would allow the recipients to take, free of charge, as many classes as they can during our June class session.  Student finalists will be selected by a jury as featured artists in a gallery show opening May 31st, 2012.  During the student’s time here, he/she will learn the ins and outs of a working clay studio including but not limited to; loading and unloading kilns, firing different kinds of kilns, making clay and glazes, and studio management.  Scholarship recipients will be well trained and ready to enter any college clay studio.
