ArtCars 2012

Join us for Art Cars 2012 during Clifton Streetscapes: A Street Painting Festival and Clifton Fest

When:
Saturday, September 29th & Sunday, September 30th
10 am – 6 pm

Where:
Telford St (off Ludlow Ave)
Lower deck of Goessling Market (formerly IGA) parking garage

Art Cars is a part of Streetscapes: A Street Painting Festival, an annual festival held in the Clifton Gaslight District, where artists use homemade chalk to recreate famous works of art directly on the pavement of Telford Street. Art Cars has been a part of Streetscapes since 2008 and with this project, instead of the pavement getting painted, cars get master work paint jobs!

Come down to the festival and watch artists work their magic and transform 5 regular vehicles into Art Cars.  This year, OHHS Art Student Rupie Spraul ’14 and alumni Alex Hand ’09 will be working on a team with art teacher Jamie Schorsch on the transformation of a 1999 Honda Odyssey into a Kandinsky masterwork!

SUMMER IN THE CITY, 2012

What did you do over the summer?  Several students, alumni, and teachers from the OHHS Art Department worked with ArtWorks this summer on beautifying our city by adding to the over 50 murals created in the Greater Cincinnati area over the years.  See the projects, participants, and visit www.artworkscincinnati.org for more information about mural sites and dedication dates.
