Miamitown’s Bicentennial Celebration and “Paint the Pots”

Miamitown is gearing up to celebrate their Bicentennial! As a part of the celebration, “The Art & Design Spot” and the “Miami Historical Society” launched a design competition called “Paint the Pots”. The Painting and Mixed Media students tackled the task of generating designs to be painted on the pots that will line route 128 in time for the oldest Memorial Day parade in the state of Ohio.

The following students had their designs selected to be painted and displayed:

Taylor Cherry
Livia Taleff
Sydney Goins
Kaitlyn Delaney
Alyssa McCarthy

The Painting and Mixed Media students will be hard at work completing the designs in time for the parade. Once completed, the painted pots will remain along route 128 as a part of the commemoration of Miamitown’s Bicentennial.
